Utah for the 4th! Yay!

So we had the opportunity to go take a trip to Utah for the 4th of July. I really do love Utah in the summer time and I got to do so many of my favorite things while I was there! We got to see both my family who lives there and Mason's family who was at Aspen Grove for a family vacation. Here is a quick recap of our adventures...

We spent the evening at Riverwoods (which has been totally redone since my last visit, and looks awesome). We ate at the restaurant where my sister works, and it was delicious.
Then we headed over to the Provo Town Resort for some arcade games.
Of course we had to show off our awesome prizes!
I also got to hang out with my sister and all of her musical friends. I pretty much just sat there in awe of their talent and got to listen to some seriously amazing voices. To get to Aspen Grove from where my parents live, you drive through AF Canyon. It was such a beautiful drive, especially in the rain. Mason got to do a ropes course with his family at Aspen Grove, which was pretty awesome.

We ate at kneaders for breakfast and lunch. So yummy, they seriously need to open one in LA!
For those of you who have never been to UT for the 4th, you really should. This was my first time attending the Stadium of Fire and it was amazing! The performances were fun but the fireworks is what you go for. Here is Mase with our adorable niece.
It is the best fireworks show I have been to!I also got to see my dear friend Red Rachel! It was a short visit but still so awesome to catch up, we strolled the Utah Arts Festival which was very interesting. There were all sorts of random items throughout the festival that were knitted over, which I thought was hilarious. I swear that Cafe Rio tastes better in UT. Maybe its the altitude?
I don't know what it is for sure, but maybe because I got to eat it with my sisters! (We are missing one sister...Love you J!)

We also got to attend the wedding of a good family friend. She was such a beautiful bride and it was awesome to see the whole Smith Family!

  1. WOW! It looks like you had such a fun time! So glad you had a great 4th! Jay's family had the last family reunion at Aspen Grove, and Jay did the ropes course too. Wish I could I say I was brave enough!
P.S. Cafe Rio IS better in Utah! Not sure why??!!
